Delete your FishingCue account

You can delete your FishingCue account and the data our service holds for it at any time, with or without the app.

In the app (immediate)

1. Open FishingCue and sign in.
2. Open the Me tab and tap the settings (gear) button at the top right.
3. Open Account, then Delete account.
4. Read what will be deleted, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete account.

Your account is deleted straight away. The app then removes that account's data from your device.

Without the app

Email fishingcue@gmail.com from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject “Delete my FishingCue account”. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in account (email address, display name and, if you used Google sign-in, your Google profile image), held by our authentication provider Clerk.
• The data our backend keeps with your account: saved fishing marks and your language and theme preferences.

What is kept

• A one-way hashed marker of the deleted account identifier, so a deleted account cannot be recreated with an old sign-in token. It cannot be used to identify you.
• Service logs kept briefly by our hosting providers for security and reliability, which expire on their normal schedule.

Data stored only on your phone (for example recently opened marks) is removed when you delete the account in the app, or when you uninstall the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.
